It all started in 1980 when Sr. Joaquim Silva Guerreiro prepared a sauce with natural herbs and ingredients from the Algarve. Using only the finest tender spring chickens he created a delicious dish with a unique flavour.

In 1988 Joaquim presented his fabulous dish at the International Food Fair in Sydney Australia.

The panel of judges unanimously awarded him the Golden Diploma for the best chicken in the competition.

Established in Almancil in 1982 and since then has been visited by thousands of satisfied customers.
